About Eco‑Monitor
In today's modern digital age, there are many ways to reduce the pollution around us. Today's technology has evolved immensely far from the early days of the Internet that many countries have already become green, such as Singapore and Japan. However, the problem of being environmentally friendly is still prevalent in Hong Kong.
Due to the public's environmental awareness being low, especially among the younger generation, the ecological footprint in Hong Kong has dropped to the 3rd worst in the Asia- Pacific region.
Our role to alleviate this ever-growing problem is by giving a concise way for users to combat waste reduction and air pollution in Hong Kong in the form of a game with a reward system.
Eco‑Monitor is a location‑based game focused on sustainability. Players travel to recycling points, scan codes or check in, complete challenges, and earn points that show up on the leaderboard. The webapp encourages real‑world positive environmental action across Hong Kong.
